Trees can be beautiful in your yard. If you have been shopping around for trees, here are a few trees you may want to avoid planting in your yard.

A Lombardy Poplar tree can grow quickly and provide a nice screen, but these trees have a very short life of about 15 years. Another tree to avoid planting is the Tree of Heaven tree. This tree is considered invasive, dirty, and messy. It can also be tough to landscape around because this tree gives off a chemical that kills off competing vegetation. The next tree to avoid is a Callery Pear tree. These trees have beautiful white flowers, but it has a weak branching system. So in areas with wind, ice, or snow, this can cause storm damage. It is also considered invasive in many states. The last tree to avoid planting is a Siberian Elm tree. A Siberian Elm tree can grow in very difficult conditions but it can be messy and is also another weak-wooded tree. So this tree can be prone to storm and ice damage.
