When people have carpets, it’s almost impossible to avoid getting some type of stain on the carpets. Here are a few suggestions to help you to get out two common stains. Those stains are candle wax and red wine.
Candle wax can be very hard to get out of your carpets. The first thing you will want to do, is to let the hot wax to cool completely. After it cools, try to scrape off as much of the candle wax as possible. Next, place paper towels on the wax, then press with a dry warm iron. After this area cools, fluff carpet fibers with fingers.
With a red wine spill you will want to act quickly. Blot the spill with an absorbant cloth. Then spritz or sponge the stain with cold water. Blot dry. Next, sponge the area with a mixture of 1Tbsp each of white vinegar and dish liquid soap to two cups of warm water. Blot dry again. The last step is to sponge or spritz again with cold water to rinse, then blot dry.
So the next time you have a candle wax or red wine stain, try these suggestions. Hopefully you will be able to get out those stubborn stains.
