Mosquitoes can be super annoying, especially when you’re trying to enjoy your yard. If you are having a mosquito problem, here are a few ways to help you to reduce those mosquitoes.

The first way is to invite more mosquito predators into your yard. You can do this by simply installing a bird or bat house, and you could even make it a fun family project by building one yourself. Some birds like to eat mosquitoes, and bats love to eat mosquitoes.

Another way is to plant mosquito repellent plants. Some of these plants include marigolds, bee balm, rosemary, lavender, and citronella. Mosquitoes do not like any of these plants.

The last way is to get rid of any standing water, even a small amount, from your yard. Mosquito breeding grounds can be found in tree holes, outdoor flower pot saucers, discarded cans or containers, clogged rain gutters, or even bird baths. Try to change the water in your bird baths weekly. There are also products available that will treat your ponds and water gardens for mosquitoes.

These are just a few ways to help you with your mosquito problem so that you are better able to enjoy your yard.
