Sometimes when we start to declutter our homes, we can end up with more clutter than when we started to clean. Here are a few ways to help you to reduce that clutter once and for all.
The first way is to keep your donation bins or baskets somewhere in full view, instead of hiding in a closet where we tend to forget about them and they begin to multiply. As soon as that bin or basket is full, make the trip right away to donate the items.
Another way to reduce clutter is to ask yourself if you really use or need the item. For example, if you have accumulated many small specialty appliances, keep only the appliances that you use multiple times within a year. The same goes with clothing, if you have not worn an item within a year, get rid of it or donate the item.
The last way is to organize all your loose papers. Designate one area where you keep and sort all of your mail. Also, if you don’t need a physical copy of receipts or documents, try to digitize them instead. Just remember to shred any documents that may contain your personal information.
These are just a few ways to help you to reduce your clutter and to help you to get organized.
